RESPONSIBILITIES:

• 28.75 hours per week, with travel between buildings
• Driving between buildings including both middle schools and high school
• Assist with individual english learner student assessment primarily at the middle school level and some elementary level.
• Assist in small or large group student instruction under English Learner teacher direction.
• Tutor english learner students.
• Work with assigned classroom teachers to set up a weekly schedule to assist students.
• Communicate weekly with assigned English Learner teachers on lesson plans and student progress.
• Attend scheduled staff meetings during school hours.  Before and after school staff meetings are optional.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
• TESOL certification or experience teaching English language learners preferred
• Drivers License and mode of transportation
• Associates degree preferred
• Teacher certified preferred
